Another thing about the envelope--do you recall Fung practically challenging Scheck to find his fingerprints on the envelope after Scheck showed what appeared to be Fung picking up the envelope with his bare hands?
To not find any fingerprints or smears is beyond belief. Ron held it in his bare hand, Nicole might have, the waitress did, and the killer appeared to put his finger in and smear one of the lenses of the glasses (the one that disappeared). Doing that with a gloved hand to discover what was inside would be useless as you couldn't tell with a gloved finger what it was.
