He seems like a mixed bag, Detective Luper, but generally I believe he was just doing his job, the way he had learned to do it. All that learned behaviour in the LAPD!! He was in charge of the search, he emptied the hamper (said nothing about dark dress socks there, nor anything about Fuhrman's empty Swiss Army box on the bath tub where he stacked the stuff from the hamper).
He testified that he saw dark socks on the bed room floor around noon. Then he said something about putting down a single glove he found in O.J.'s closet on a table down stairs while he investigated a blood trail that wasn't a blood trail. (Always wondered what that "no blood trail" actually was.)
And wasn't Luper the cop who testified that Fuhrman WAS wearing a jacket, when all the other detectives swore he didn't (and couldn't have hidden the glove to plant).
