Miss Marple, That is one of the biggest puzzlers of all. They were told to go over to OJ's THEN which was around 2:30 or so according to late testimony in the trial yet they didn't go til 5AM.
I don't buy that either.
They hang around for 2 1/2 hrs. If you recall Vannatter and Lange made it out as if they were just told to do it after they arrived but later testimony showed that Bushey I think had told them fairly early to do that.
I think that is why Cochran and Co. always suspected that at least Roberts and Fuhrman went over earlier and then went again at 5AM>
Does anyone recall that either Lange or Phillips (RP I think) told that the notes on the questioning of Kato were NOT in Fuhrman's handwriting?
Well, it seems to me that there is every chance that Roberts went as well with the others at 5 and that has been hidden.
