One explantion for the question you raise is that OJ may have had another pair of clothes in the Bronco. But since we know he didn't murder anyone, this is a moot point no?
But has anyone ever considered that Furman was a guest inside Nicole's house when Ron showed up. Remember the jacket?
In this scenario, the candles, the bath etc. may have been for a date with "her cop".
If so, would the following be plausible:
Assume OJ was at Bundy stalkin or there to visit...at the time of the "Hey, Hey, Hey", (Ron), causing OJ to leave in a hurry with a slam to the gate (perhaps nics finger on his way out to his car in the alley). Seconds later Fuhrman emerges from the condo to investigate the noise, fights and kills Ron, and subsequently decides he has to also then kill Nicole.
Given the subsequent times involved, Fuhrman would have plenty of time to then work on the crime scene, plant the evidence etc. especially if there was a hat, old gloves and "ugly ass" shoes at Nicoles.
