Jasper, my copy of Murder in Brentwood is almost falling apart, every page has notes in the margins and it looks quite colorful with all the underlining. So, yes, I have studied Fuhrman.
I'm very interested in the value of words, the words you chose to explain events and things. On almost any page in Murder in Brentwood you can pick a sentence, a word or a paragraph and actually "feel" if it is truth or a lie. Fuhrman wrote his book himself and in it he gives away more of himself than he means to.
Take the chapter about Margaret York. Thirteen pages of pure hatred mixed with "I had nothing to do with Men against Women, York singled me out". He is the good guy, he says, but his choice of words give hime away.
Fuhrman is very clever and manipulative, but also extremely arrogant and so insensitive I think he is a psycopath (and psycopaths do pass lie detector tests). He also brags a lot and that together with the arrogance will hopefully be his fall one day. Miss Marple
