It has been such a relief for me to read Iago. Before that I had many pieces of the puzzle in place, but there were holes here and there and for the most part Iago has filled them in.
A big problem for me was the piece of wood by the Bronco. It had been staring at me asking for an explanation and now, well, it finally belongs and makes sence. Before reading Iago I felt the stick was important because it was important to Fuhrman, the way he wrote about it so extensively in his book. I'm the mother of five and in my experience, when kids (and Fuhrman is very immature) lie or try to hide something they tend to overkill, overexplain the issue. The stick was a two liner in the trial, but Fuhrman could not let go of his clever plan for it.
When I first saw the news about the murders and then THE GLOVE, I laughed. I'm not a sports fan, didn't know who OJ was but I was thinking "planted" right away. It was just too much, the second bloody glove found behind the exhusband's garage!! Then I saw Fuhrman and I felt sick to my stomach. I trust my instincts but I also research, and from day one I have found nothing to change my mind about Fuhrman. He is one sick man.
However, before Iago I hadn't thought about Fuhrman as the killer, just as a devious arrogant person with his own agenda. In fact I never had a theory about "who did it", I just felt strongly that OJ wasn't the killer.
I'm not totally convinced about the whole conspiracy though (I give you "yet"). Ship I accept, Resnick too and Roberts, certainly, but I have a problem with Denise being involved (I'm a sister). I also don't think her part is neccesary for the plot to work.
Another piece of evidence that Fuhrman over emphathises in his book is the blue plastic bag (Item #10 in the property report). He describes it as "a blue wrapper" on Pg. 212, "a small light blue paper package" on Pg.33, when in fact it is a blue plastic bag (evidence bag?) that he himself collects from the other side of the fence near the glove and gives to Fung. What's your take on that? Miss Marple
