Before Mark Fuhrman became a Homicide detective he was a Robbery detective. Just when he made the switch is not all that clear. Some accounts say '90. Other accounts say '91. Two things that grabbed my attention about Bramble's resemblance to Fuhrman were:
1) He makes a great patsy in the event that anyone connected Fuhrman to Madam Alex and her call girls. 2) Both Fuhrman and Brambles were closely linked to Daryl Gates.
There is also the matter of the name "Cookie." In Murder in Brentwood Fuhrman, talks about a blue ribbon that his 3 ½ year-old son won for his pet rabbit. The rabbit's name is Cookie.
