A lot of things attributed to Kato by various people for various reasons appear nowhere in the transcripts, just as a lot of things attributed to O.J. appear nowhere in the transcripts.
When I thought that Fuhrman had an airtight alibi I took a long, hard look at Kato and Ron Shipp as suspects because so many things they said and did sounded suspicious. Kato's description of the thumps sounded particularly absurd. Like John, I was convinced for awhile that he must have made up the thumps because I couldn't find another logical explanation for what he said. So, I put everything he said and did that night under a magnifying glass. That's when I discovered that Kato's story about when and where Park saw O.J. and what they said to each other matched O.J.'s story AND Park's except for one important detail That detail backed O.J. over Park.
Alan Park said that O.J. told him he overslept (disputed point). Rachael Ferrara said that Kato told her that O.J. overslept (hearsay). O.J. said that Kato ASKED him if he had overslept. Kato said the same thing.
I can't find any evidence that Kato had anything to do with drugs (as opposed to Shipp, Faye, Denise and Fuhrman). The closest thing to it is what Fuhrman said about Kato's appearance as the reason that he gave Kato the test for intoxication. --Jasper
