I'm sure you're right. Once you pointed me to Lange's reference to the "plastic" heart, I recalled thinking when I first saw it that "the other guy" said it was glass. It was a trivial point so I paid it little attention. But the more I looked at the photo in Fuhrman's book with the little rag doll in the middle of the bloody tile, the more significant the heart seemed to be -- to Mark Fuhrman.
The plastic suggests that it came from a child - which is where you might have gotten the idea that it was a child's pendant. Children lose things like that all the time so it didn't seem to mean anything. However, the heart shows up so often in the movies and TV shows I call "the Fuhrman collection" that I had to wonder if it might have been planted, too, not as evidence but as a subliminal association to the children of the murdered woman. Remember the poem on the tile that's kitty-corner to the one with the doll, "Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while - their hearts forever…"
Now that's creepy. --Jasper
