One of the reasons for so many white suprmists in the army and police is they have the same basic character in the first place. They are usually of just average intellegence. Have some kind of character flaw or background that they get their self esteem by being part of a group that has some enemy. They feel powerless as individuals but powerful as part of a group. The group defines their existence. The uniform also defines their existence and in the case of white supremists they may have a tatoo or secret handshake or what ever that takes the place of the uniform.
In a way this goes back to our animal nature. In the animal kingdom in herding animals, you were only safe from predators if you stayed in the group. Any individuality got you kicked out and dead.
Personally my animal nature must have come from a non hearder group. I can't stand conformaty. We are all probably non condormists, esp us white ones, or we would convince ourselves that OJ is guilty.
