"The sweet smell of blood"? Did MF use those words?
That's hard to imagine that he would actually write down something like that. What the hell was he thinking? I've the odor of blood described as "cloying," and "sickly sweet." Maybe that's what he intended to get across. But "the sweet smell of blood" in that context is a whole different animal. --Jasper
