First, let me say AGAIN that it is a LIE that they could not get Nicole's local phone bill or get OJ's local phone records.
Multiple folks have told me that it is SOP in just about any police case and for certainty in a murder case--especially in one where a time line is of such importance. Where a phone record could clear or nail a suspect.
Vannatter and Lange repeatedly LIE in their book saying that such records are not available. They go out of their way to make these lying assertions.
Why do they go to so much trouble to make this lying point?
Her local phone records (with a phone dump) would have pinpointed to the moment any calls from or to Faye Resnick. Any calls from or to Dr. Ameli and any others. Any possible calls to Ron as has been suggested. Her call to the Mezz would have been accurately timed.
There is only one reason for the LYING and HIDING and that is they presented a Totally Bogus Case and they knew it from the minute they got the phone records. And they did get them. You can count on that. Clark wouldn't know of calls back and forth to anybody unless she saw the records and/or were told of them and she hid that in court.
A call from NIc to the Browns at 10:17-10:28 would blow a HOLE in their entire case. That is why Leslie Abramson "expected" the case to be dropped against OJ during the Prelim Hearing. It was common consensus at the time that any murder after 10:30 excluded OJ due to the 10:40 noise and when he was seen dressed and ready to go at home.
If Clark and Darden KNEW she was on the phone to the Browns at that time (10:17) and presented to the jury that she was dead at that time or was being killed at that time---that should have landed Clark and Darden and those who knew in jail themselves.
