Kari, Jean, Charlie, Alitta and Miss Marple, I thank you all for your help. It seemed to me that it was Denise who started the angel thing but I hate to trust my memory on something like that.
I do remember that angels were big in the early and mid '90s but I couldn't remember how they came to be associated with Nicole. Now I'm sure that it started with the earrings that Denise wore in court. It also seems to me that I heard Denise talk about them on Geraldo - which is the first thing that popped in my mind when Kari recalled that it came from one of the kids. I recall that the sweet story about the kids came from Denise explaining how she came to wear the earrings. It wasn't important enough for me then to recall but since I started working on The Smoking Gun books angel connections to he movies and the murders have been coming out of my pours.
It also seems to me that everyone who said something about the angels was right is some significant (that is, it struck a gong with me). Although I asked about the angel pins because I knew that Marcia got spanked for wearing one in sympathy with the Brown family during or after Denise's testimony, that was as much as I was sure of. For what I'm doing my best guess is not good enough.
