Here is irrefutable proof of what I've been trying to tell you about the location of the "office" in your (erroneous) diagram of the guest house.
Go to wagnerandson.com. click "enter" to get his index of articles. Scroll down to "personalities". Click on the article "Kato's unwitting compliticity".
THERE you will find an actual photograph of Kaelin's quarters. The photo is taken from the bedroom area INTO THE 'OFFICE SPACE" in question.
You can see TWO doors. The first between Kato's bedroom and the office. The second is the one at the end of the office that we've had so much discussion about.
Now, if you could see through that door, you would see a short hallway with a flight of three steps in it. It ends with a right angle turn (without a separating wall) into the trphy/pool room.
Now, it was that far door that Sydney and Justin once managed to penetrate, and it is also one specifically mentioned by Sue Silva of Westec as NOT being alarmed. IOW, it was Kaelin's own secret private entrance into the main house whenever OJ, Arnelle, and Gigi were gone.
In order for you to make your current floor plant accurate, you need to (a) erase "office",(b) divide "Kato" exactly in half, (c) label the west half of Kaelin's room as "office", and (d) indicate the doors at either side of the office.

This is an effective reply to Bob August's constant harping on the lack of an alarm when Arnelle and three detectives entered through the back way! August always used this as "proof" that Arnelle had turned off the alarm after cleaning up after OJ and forgot to turn it back on. One of those things that makes you say, 'Why didn't I think of that?'

How? Show me in Silva's testimony where there was a keypad near Arnelle's room. **************************************************

This may just have been true. The typewriter in the office was specifcally identified as having belonged to Nicole, in Eliot's book. However, I have not seen any other infrmation that would substantiate this assertion.
"The secondary alarm was a motion dectector. A motion detector type alarm is much harder to by pass than the central alarm that was in the house. But a motion alarm has the draw back of a person or dog setting it off by mistake. It was in OJ's testimoney that he talked about it."
Please be specific and cite your source. I hate asking this of people, for it gives them license to demand the same of me, and I rarely consider it worth the trouble anymore. However, I do NOT recall any reliable testimony about motion detectors in Rockingham. Now, waht I DO recall is a bunch of NO-JS SAYING THERE WERE MOTION DETECTORS by the garage and maid's entrance, their (mythical) presence being the reason why OJ didn't enter the house from the south path that way.

This is absolutely untrue as far as the "pool/trophy room" is concerned. THAT "room" didn't even have doors. In fact, it wasn't even a seperate "room" at all.
Now, the only way you could know this (except for having been to Rockingham when it existed, of course) to to have seen OJ's interview tape AND match that to the floorplan shown in the LA times book. There is a section of the tape about 30 seconds or so long where the camera actually goes in through the front door all the way to the living room. The very last thing shown, in the distance, is the trophy/pool room. The pool table shows up clearly.

What is your source for this information?

ABSOLUTELY WRONG!! There was no such motion detector (and, pray tell, why would anyone want to put a motion detector alarm in the middle of ones own residence?).

Technically, you are correct. However, the lock was simply enough for two small children to defeat. I personally believe it was just a turn-latch thing. Even if it was locked, Kaelin couold have easily have unlocked the door from inside the main house at some time or other.
