Vera's comments about Fuhrman are in her first post. For some reason it didn't show up where it was supposed to, which is why she couldn't find it for a while. I don't think it's a big deal (for Keith) to straighten out.
The previous discussion on Fuhrman's notes are somewhere in the wreckage of the Iago archives that we have not yet been able to resurrect. Charlie could be the best person to talk to about that discussion. You might find something on The Smoking Gun Discussion board if you do a search of those archives. I think that most of the articles posted there are still accessible.
Meanwhile, I do wish that you would go to Chapter 1: Names to Know of the Smoking Gun 2 and let me know what you think about the section on Fuhrman's notes. I've been trying to get a discussion of this going on the Smoking Gun Discussion Board for quite some time. I've got all of the chapters in both books up and I am now in the processes of proofing and cleaning them up (in no particular order) to put in Adobe format.
Adobe is the format that shows how the books will look on the printed page because it looks the same on any browser. However, once it's done it's a major chore to change it. The html format that the books are in now looks different on different browsers. It is therefore very crude in terms of what can be done to make it look to you and Vera and Charlotte and everyone else the way it looks to me. The advantage is I can make changes in html in minutes that could take hours or days to change in Adobe.
At this stage in writing a book for publication there are bound to be typos, clumsy phrases, inadequate bridges, missing words, etc. But the content should be clear enough to get a very good idea of what to expect in the finished product. If something I have written about Fuhrman's notes is incorrect or if it simply isn't clear to someone like you, it's one more thing that has to be fixed.
You know more about Fuhrman than most people and I would love to know what you think of my analysis of Fuhrman's notes in "Names to Know" before I wrap up that chapter and set it in concrete. I really do think you will find the chapter of great interest. Fuhrman's notes play a big part in both Smoking Gun books because of how they relate to dozens of movies and television shows in the network of films and TV shows that I call "the Fuhrman collection."
It would be great if you could kick this thing off on The Smoking Gun Discussion Board. --Jasper
