How mean hearted can a human being be?... Iam very pleased with the outcome of the Peterson trial. I believe he is guilty...But how dare you make nasty remarks about his parents...I guess you have no children...They also lost a grandchild. I believe they also loved Lacy. And now they have to live with the knowledge that their son is a killer. My heart also goes out to them......Deep down inside I think they knew this....But Scott is still their child..... Thank God I have never had to live through something as awfull as this. I have a child however....I brought a child into this world and I would have to support my child. Its called unconditional love. Dosen't mean you approve of what that child has done...Its a mothers heart. I wish you could have some heart. Like Cathern , Lisa, and the other sweet woman with the long hair (sorry I dont know her name) They never picked on Scotts parents....

Jasper you asked on the other board what I would do to fix the justice system. As I wrote the first would be to take most police out of their cars and put them on foot or bycycles. With some roving cars to assist them. And if they choose they could be promoted on this job and still be foot patrols. So they would remain in the neighborhoods long enought to really know the people. The cop that helps the kid to save their dog, is a respected cop or stops to show the fatherless kid to throw a fast ball, etc.
But the main thing I would do is judge selection. A judge would be selected by an equal number of defense and prosecutors who were chosen by random. And by 2/3rds of them. This way you are bound to have a fair judge, who is not going to be on eithers side. And who best to know their abilities than one of their peers. At the end of the year, he would again have to pass this committe plus a citizen watch dog committee, whose job is to see that the judge follows the law as concerns following the law and when someone lies in court the judge follows thru with the proper punishment. And any case in which a policman lies, the jury would be told and that evidence thrown out and if major lie then the case would be thrown out with predudice.
It would not take long for the police and lawyers to get honest. And then the police and prosecutors would go back to a search for the truth. At first a lot of guilty people would go free, but eventually the police and prosecutors would figure out how to get it right.
And the whole police dept. would then draw a different type of person. People who want to serve, instead of power hungry misfits. In this climate there would just not be a racial problem because of a differnt mind set. Crime would decrease dramatically because of respect of the neighborhood cop and not feeling that it makes no difference what one does as innocent are harrased as much as the guilty.
