JUDGE SELECTION
There really is no such thing as a fair judge. They are only as good as their background, intelligence and education. Too often, they have ambitious political goals. Governor, Supreme Court appointment, etc. Here again you can get that political appointee who relys on everyone else to do his job while he metes out his educated idiot style of justice. There is no easy answer for an honest and fair judge. He/She either is or isn't. A panel choosing him would not work because they can be bribed too easily or owe political favors. But that was a nice thought. Once again there isn't enough money in the kitty to cause that manipulation.
SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH
It would not take long for the police and lawyers to get honest. And then the police and prosecutors would go back to a search for the truth. At first a lot of guilty people would go free, but eventually the police and prosecutors would figure out how to get it right.
WISH IN ONE HAND:
Oh how we all wish you were right! Just remember that honest and fair prosecutors are so far in between it would be most difficult to find one in a haystack. There is that political agenda again to contend with. Too many social climbers in the world. I've long since understood that Bambi is dead and Thumper got run over by a truck. I could be like Geraldo and dump everything to run over to Afghanistan to sit in a fox hole. LOL!
