There is only 1 solution. OJ was cut before he left for Chicago.
BUT did he know it ?
I find it hard to see that he did not. If he was the killer then the blood pattern indicates that at several points a deliberate attempt was made to stop the blood.
Therefore it makes no sense to me that OJ would deliberatly cut himself in the same spot IN CHICAGO to explain the blood at Rockingham!
