I disagree. I think the breaking of the glass in Chicago is what O.J. said it was, frustration, anger, grief. It goes with the kicking of Nicole's back door, the throwing out photographs, clothes. The man acts out on THINGS.
Why would he deliberately cut himself in Chicago to show why he bled at Rockingham? He wasn't told on the phone about any blood drops, they hadn't found them yet.
