Actually, Tom Sneddon announced the case was being put away in 1994 just after the Bundy Murders. They began investigating him in 1993. The accuser's Father and Mother were fighting each other as well as Michael Jackson. The Father started the investigation for the purpose of getting custody of his son by stating that his Mother was allowing his son to stay with Michael Jackson knowing he would be molested. Many people believe this. Once the case was settled many people called it an admission of guilt from Michael Jackson. In my view the reason he settled was clear during this trial. He was so afraid of prison he figured 20 million dollars give or take was nothing compared to the fear of going to prison.
