Elsie Tishaert was told to call animal control but I have always wondered if it was the reason a cop car was in the neighborhood when Schwab was walking the akita north.
Schwab did not get to the corner of Bundy and Dorothy until about 10:55, so even if Karpf comes out at 10:50, the man he sees is not Schwab. Schwab would not have been across from Nicole's condo at 10:40 or 10:45.
As to the walk from Dorothy/Bundy to Schwab's home, it is not that far and he estimates it would normally take him between 5-10 minutes.
You talk about people hearing the barking for 45 minutes. That is because it started around 10:15pm but the dog is not stationary. He was moving around and it would depend on the dog's location whether people would have heard the dog.
