Rovann, I have always wondered about that cop being there too. The "result" of Schwab stopping him was that he turned around and went back the other way and did not continue on down to Nicole's condo. Was that because if he was answering the call about the dog, finding a man "in charge" of the dog stopped the need to go on and check it out?
There is a PROBLEM with Schwab's story. If he is at Bundy and Dorothy at 10:55, and it Usually takes him 5 to 10 minutes to get home, he SHOULD have been much LONGER than 5 to 10 minutes getting home that night. Yet he states he walks into the house just as Dick Van Dyke is beginning (perhaps 11:05).
He stops and inspects the dog, watches the dog for a while, "babies" the dog home with him, stops and talks to the cop --TWICE--once long enough to give him a phone number and name to give the dog pound, etc. He is automatically Slower walking because the dog is trailing along and he keeps watching out for it, etc.
THis is why I have stated repeatedly, there is something WRONG with his testimony.
And I have always wondered about the other couple walking there as well.
What Schwab "says" and what Karpf "says" is very much in question with me.
Schwabs story didn't make sense and it didn't match the body finders. And with Karpf, his story didn't match his girlfriend's story.
And that still doesn't explain why Karpf went out to get the mail on a Sunday night when he should have had no reason to believe any mail was out there. Unless, as Diane said to me in an email that he is some kind of 'control freak" with that girlfriend of his.
