I see your point and I agree with it. I say in Iago that there was no domestic dispute call, which means he had to have been there on his own. My guess in Iago is that he was doing some "private" surveillance when Westec got involved. But the more I examined Mark Day's testimony the more questions I had like yours about Fuhrman's relationship to Westec.
As far as the wet glove is concerned, I have little doubt that it was planned that way to serve a number of ends, not the least of which was to plant the idea that it was planted by an amateur (he was an expert) if something went wrong with the frame. Fuhrman's MO is to have a plausable story ready to go no matter what he could anticipate might happen and to create as much confusion as possible. The red herring value of the wet glove with no debris on it cannot be over emphasized.
The wet glove splits the defence into those who want to prove he planted it and those who want to argue that somebody else must have becuase he was too smart to do it in such an obvious way. It also fits the story that Steven Singular's "Deep Throat" told him about Fuhrman planting the glove "because he knew that O.J. did it." In that context, the wet glove reinforces the idea that Fuhrman didn't know about the murders until Phillips called him and it gives him an honorable motive for planting any evidence that he might get caught on if someone spilled the beans about his so-called affair with Nicole. If he didn't expect someone to talk about it, he wouldn't have told the story to so many people. In the fanal analysis, that alleged affair in '92 (in whch Nicole supposedly told him about O.J.'s "escalating violence" is the only thing that lends credibility to the idea that O.J.'s ranting on the '93 911 tape constituted an example of domestic violence. What I don't think he counted on was the persistence of the idea that he planted the glove the way Singular's Deep Throat said he did long after it was proven that he simply couldn't have. --Jasper
