HAS O.J.'S CAREER BEEN PORN AGAIN? Thursday,February 22,2001 By BILL HOFFMANN A shocking tabloid report claims O.J. Simpson starred in a three-in-a-bed porn flick that could earn him millions - but the disgraced grid great insists it's not true. And Simpson's lawyer also says the Globe tried to set his client up in the same manner Frank Gifford was lured into a Manhattan hotel room by blond flight attendant Suzen Johnson. In next week's issue, the Globe says that as cameras rolled Feb. 13, the disgraced grid great cavorted with his girlfriend, Christine Prody, and Playboy and Penthouse model Patty Kuprys in "explicit sex action." The X-rated romp was said to have taken place in Room 310 of the ultra-posh Mutiny Hotel in Miami's Coconut Grove section, according to the Globe. It was directed by well-known porn king Peter Davy, who's made such adults-only fare as "Prescription for Lust" and "The Nympho," the mag reports. The Globe also reports that as Simpson entered the bedroom, he began to sing, "If I Only had a Brain," from "The Wizard of Oz." O.J. had sex with each woman four times and also watched while the women "got it on," the mag quotes two insiders as saying. Davy used cameras hidden in light fixtures and plants so it would falsely appear as if O.J. had no knowledge the film was being shot and couldn't be blamed for its release, the mag says. The shamed athlete - acquitted of killing his ex-wife Nicole and her pal Ron Goldman, but ordered to pay the victims' families $33.5 million in a civil case - stands to make $1.5 million up front for the porn shoot, the mag says. "O.J. did it for the money," a source close to the production told the Globe. Simpson's lawyer Yale Galanter admits O.J. was filmed inside the room with the two women - but states there was no sex and "everybody was completely, 100 percent clothed." Galanter told The Post he believes Globe paid Kuprys to set up O.J. He said Kuprys, a close friend of Prody, invited her and O.J. back to her room for a nightcap. They all had a drink together, but "when O.J. realized what was going on, he was outta there," Galanter said. Globe publishes photos taken of O.J. and the two women arriving at the hotel and relaxing at poolside. But O.J.'s lawyer said that's more proof that Globe was involved in a failed setup, because, "Why else would they be there?" He also said that if, in fact, there was X-rated footage in existence, "American Media [owners of the Globe] would have mortgaged the magazine to get it." Globe news editor Candace Trunzo last night declined to discuss what footage - if any - is in existence, but said the mag is planning several exclusive follow-ups in the coming weeks. "We stand by our story - it's all there laid out. We have great sources on it," Trunzo said. "The big issue for O.J. was deniability, because of his two kids." Print this story
