It was the size. Lange had seen the BM up close and then he was looking at all those shoes in OJ's closet. He was smart enought to know that the BM were too small for OJ. or he knew how to compare European size to American size. And he took the Rebocks to see if they could get by with saying that the BM were OJ's shoes. Probably the difference in European size and American size is how OJ got to small shoes in the first place. Person who bought them, did not know there was a difference. Could have been Nicole and for some reason did not want it to show on the credit card that Kathy was going to see. Maybe she was someplace that she was not supposed to be and did not use credit cards for Kathy to catch on.
Maybe a weekend in NY with a rich boyfriend and she used his credit card or cash to buy the shoes and that is the reason that OJ called them ugly ass as he found out she had gone off with a boyfriend and had the nerve to buy his gift on the trip.
