I don't think the black book was missing at this point (Oct 93) but the tabs were filled with the questions about it and speculating whose name was in it--both as one of the girls and the clients.
It was Judge Ito who made the out of court decision that the black book would not be used in court. To get around the need to use it, they brought Charlie Sheen and a couple of others to testify.
His (OJ"s) concern on the 911 tape though was the fact those prostitutes were hanging around at NIc's house.
