Just because you didn't find it in the "L.A. data base" doesn't mean she couldn't have been convicted of a felony some other place in the country.
I once suggest to Dick Wagner that he have Shively apply to buy a gun to see if she could pass the background check, for THAT would settle the issue once and for all.
They didn't, of course.
