Jasper, I am not interested in arguing this on a political level. Regardless of what part Condit is (as I said it took me a week to find out WHAT party he was from) the way this has been handled, I hope, brings it to the forefront of the problem of adults going missing (children too).
Until you personally watch (hopefully from afar and not your own family) how difficult it is to get the PD's attention in a true "crime" case, I don't think people realize the problem.
I learned last night that 11 days went by with the cops knowing that Condit was among the last to talk to Chandra or perhaps to see her before anybody knocked on his door. ELEVEN DAYS!!
I am not accusing the man of doing away with her but it is SO VERY IMPORTANT to get ALL info on where and when she was last seen or talked to that waiting 11 days seems incredibly negligent.
And I heard a retired cop say that the phone records can be gotten BOTH ways so it doesn't require getting Condit's phone records. They can track calls IN to Chandra.
I think that it would be enormously interesting to find out just WHEN Condit STOPPED trying to reach her. If he was still involved with her as it appears, if he stopped trying to reach her after May 1st, I'd say he knows where she is or at least where she went.
If he was still involved with her, WHEN did HE realize that she was MISSING? If he didn't make a big effort to locate her when his wife went home, I'd be asking WHY?
