The relevance of the questions you asked is so obvious to me that I have to wonder why they haven't been asked and answered a long time ago. On the other hand, if they have been asked and answered (possible explanation for why the Congressman wasn't questioned for 11 days) why hasn't the public been informed?
I can't see a good way of looking at this from the point of view of the police or the media. Is this guy being protected or persecuted? The way the media is reporting the story Condit is a killer and the cops may have let him get away with it for political reasons. To me, that demands an examination of the political ties that might have influenced the police to handle the investigation the way they have. From the fact that it took a "juicy" murder suspect to even get that media's attention could mean that the police really don't have anything on him and the attention they are showing now demands an examination of the politics that could be driving the.
One thing did jump out at me, though. Iif we assume that Condit was involved in the disappearance, and if we further assume that he has something on the ball, a good way to cover his tracks would be to continuing making calls to the missing woman. That would give the appearance of not knowing what happened to her.
Perhaps I am just jaundiced by what I've seen with the way Fuhrman distanced himself from incriminating evidence, but the horrible truth of the matter is that it seems to work with most people most of the time. --Jasper
