Basically I agree with this concept of making a mising person a crime, yet what happens like what happened recently where a girl went missing from Modesto area, about ten miles from Central Modesto. She was gone for months and months. She showed up in las Vegas, had no idea anyone was looking for her because she was in the Desert outside Las Vegas and had just returned after camping out with some friends. It was one of those series of freak things happening. She told her Grandmother where she was going, before the grandmother could tell anyone where she was she had a stroke and couldn't speak or remember anything, the entire family was looking for her and bingo months later she shows up wondering why they were looking for her. It is possible someone else has heard of this case as it was national news when she returned. I doubt that the Levy situation is such as this, but I do find it odd her God Parents live in DC and it just came out this past week or so. Her Aunt lived a few hours away and we didn't hear of it until two weeks or so ago. Now the police heard about it just before the press did. The parents kept information from the police. Here they are going to D.C. and not telling the police that Chaundra's Godparents are right there. One of the parents sister lives a few hours from DC and they were there and didn't tell the police. The levy's have kept quite a bit of evidence from the police as well as Chaundra lying to the program about having gotten her Units for a Master's degree in December and yet she lied and said she didn't. No one is innocent in this case, no one. Considering the wild tail I have heard is the next alleged news to allegedly come out about Condit is so absurd that it is beyound belief. I believe if one of my family disappeared I'd be more concerned about my Family member than who he/she was sleeping with and making sure anyone who might come out of the wordwork who maybe had an affair with someone that knew the family member missing would just stay away unless they knew something about where the girl was. I find this case so disgusting. Of all the people I have seen or spoken to about about Chaundra Levy's disapperance who's only desire was to find Chaundra is Gary Condit's Modesto Office manager. The Parents seem too intent on finding out about Condit's love life than finding their daughter. Just my humble opinion. People greive in different ways.
