Don't want anyone to think I'm accusing anyone in the Detroit Police Department of being a part of some kind of conspiracy to get me for my work on Fuhrman and the LAPPL. I'm 99 % sure that what happened to me was a "simple" case of DWB.

My one percent concern comes from the confluence of special circumstances involved in the incident including the ideal location for an ambush where I was stopped (the only one on my route) at the ideal time of day (early morning, no witnesses). I had gotten a call the night before from a radio talk show host in Washington State asking me to do an interview. As you know, Mark Fuhrman hosts a radio talk show in Washington State so the idea that he could have seen the ad that prompted the other host to call was not farfetched. In a Driving While Black case the color of the officers who stop you doesn't necessarily have to be white. One or both could be black. An African-American friend of mine was recently the victim of racial profiling by two African-American cops. But the odds are pretty high that operatives in a network of white supremacists linked to Fuhrman on a white supremacists mission would be white. Both of the cops who stopped me were white. --Jasper
