By the way I found that heathen actually comes from the words meaning "people who lived on the heath" not from the word hedonistic. Pagen just means pre judo/christian. Pagan gods were a reflection of the people, so Greek and Roman gods are much more civilized and peaceful than the Nordic gods as they were more peaceful than the the nordic people. Nothing has changed all the gods had woman trouble. And the goddesses were always trying to keep unfaithful husbands in line.
