This was an act of WAR from the moment that it happened.
It was not a home grown deal. There may have been home grown accomplices but it is NOT home grown.
I am not a fan of the CIA or any other alphabet secret agency either.
I think what Helped this happen was and is the extreme naivity of our country.
We have allowed anybody at all to come in without a background check. I heard that the Majority of students who have come to the US have been from the Publicly named Terror States--Sudan, Lybia, Suadi, etc. etc. etc. Iran, Iraq.
This seems to be as many as 10,000 (mostly men). This seems incredibly STUPID on our part. Especially in the face of the threats (KNOWN) to our country.
Also treating Each act of Terror (the first WTC bombing), the military bases, the Cole bombing, etc as INdividual incidents and not connected. Also to treat them as "criminal" acts rather than acts of war seems to have been a particularly stupid way of doing things.
And though it seems like it has, not that much has changed. A caller to talk radio called today from LAX shaken to the core. He was there from Chicago prior to the attack. He has several suitcases filled with electronics equipment. Wires, phones, palm piliots and other unidentifiable items. He said he was NOT held up in any way that was any different from the trip from Chicago.
Also these men have been here for years --perhaps even planning here--living freely--on expired visas, etc. There is a break down here as well.
I am far from against legal immigration but this totally open borders must stop. Also that business in NYC where illegals land, they are detained, then told to return for a hearing and they simply walk away and never seen again also must stop.
A much closer watch MUSt be done on illegals roaming freely in our country.
I see NO withdrawal of "rights" if the people applying to come and work here or go to school here have a background check before being allowed to come here. I see NO problem with this.
If the tactic is to come to this country, work, go to school, be a "sleeper" this is something that is very reasonable for us to do.
