Dorothy is clearly aware that a house is not a home. You know that because you saw her fly over the rainbow in her house and crash land on top of a wicked old witch in Munchkin City. While she was there, all she wanted to do was go home to the people she loved in Kansas.

Murder in Greenwich

Dorothy is living in a house away from her former home in Connecticut when Fuhrman joins her on her porch. She tells him that Martha was supposed to be grounded the night she was killed then asks him anxiously, "Have you come to tell me you're going home?"
