I know i'm outing myself as a new fan of Dave Emory's programs at www.spitfirelist.com, but i noticed a powerful similarity between this, the not-so-"mystery" of Mark Fuhrman, and the not-so-"mystery" of Martin Bormann, who was Hitler's successor "gone underground". It's an OLD story, by any means, but it serves to show how a theory of a plot against O.J. is not as unrealistic as some may argue. (background: http://www.spitfirelist.com/manning.html 1. He, too, was a nazi (in the original sense); 2. He, too, fooled the media and courts to make a critically false assumption: that he would have died in 1945; 3. He, too, used it to evade a proper trial and punishment on him (he was sentenced to death in his absence at the Nuremberg trials); 4. He, too, was a figure at the center of the media's attention (like O.J.), making it possible that a large, complicated plan would be carried out (he had a helper that planted bones in Berlin, eventually even HIS bones after he was dead to fool DNA experts in 1998; that helper (Gerhard Mueller) even faked his own death and had a grave in Berlin with other people's bones in them;) 5. And to make things complete: the media and government officials ALL BOUGHT IT!: There is websites showing a striking similarity to the one of Bob August, insulting everyone that refuses to believe the "historical fact" of Bormann's death (this similar intimidation like with the O.J. sites struck me most); And the U.S. and German governments even officially announced him dead, showing a scull they had found (that had been planted); Again a similarity, the secret services did NOT quite buy it (O.J. trial: FBI knew of the death threats) but for some reason didn't want the public to know (O.J.: too); 6. Finally: Paul Manning wrote a book revealing everything, but it didn't receive large media attention (O.J.: Springer, Schulman, Freed, Garrison...)
