I was rereading Alex Constantine and ran across a set of facts that hadn't hit me as important the first time round. Pellicano's lawyer, Donal Re, was A.C. Cowling's lawyer during the O.J. trials. (Duh!-- NO conflict of interest there). Moreover, Re was partners with Weitzman who introduced Pellicano to Hollywood with the DeLorean cocaine case. Re is an Ivy League well respected criminal attorney who tends to rep the REALLY bad guys especially those in the Mafia. Just as a refresher, because I know at least I get lost with all the players some times, Weitzman and Fields and Pellicano were a triplet in the Michael Jackson '93 case. Interestingly, there's been word that Fields who worked extensively with Pellicano as well was called to testify in front of the grand jury investigating Pellicano and his wiretaps. I can't find a trace about whether Weitzman ever was. Perhaps, Re is still persistently representing Pellicano just so he'll never be called to testify before any federal grand jury.
