the police did not plant any evidence PRIOR TO OJ'S ARREST. Now, there was evidence planted on the night of the murders (and, indeed on the afternoon before the murders) but it was KEALIN that planted it. THAT evidence -- the five blood drops on Bundy and the govles at Bundy and Rockingham, and particularly the Rockingham glove, were not only planted, but OBVIUSLY and POORLY planted, i.e., by oeone who did not know what REAL crime scene evidence looked like.
The back gate blood, collected on July 3rd, 1994, and the blood on the socks, was planted by person or persons connected with the LAPD, almost certainly using parts of OJ's blood sample.
At the time of the criminal trial, there had been only one scientific study of EDTA, and that in the early 50's. therefore, there was all kinds of song-and-dance over the levels of EDTA in the sock and gate blood, but nothing certain can be determined at the time.
HOWEVER, sometime after the trial, one of the forensic scientists loosely connected to the trial (Rieders) and three colleagues did further research on the subject and discovered that the only way blood could have the EDTA levels found in the gate and sock blood was if that blood had been stored in a standard purple-top test tube.
They plublished this finding on the internet; I happened to stumble accross it and have preserved a copy of it (it is only about one page long) and the citation for it in one of my mail accounts, which I will provide on request.
