If I remember right (I'm away from my books) the four or so first messages on the machine were from friends who were waiting for Ron at some place, where they apparently had arranged to meet. At least one is a repeat call, and urgent, "wake up man, hurry up" ór something like that. And then something like they would meet at his apartment if they didn't hear from him soon. I may have the words wrong, but that was basically the content. The first call was "at almost ten", the last from from the night of the murders was "10.45".
There were also some calls from friends calling the next day, who had heard something about that Ron might be the second victim.
This was published in "His name is Ron", the book by the Goldman family. They also described how the police picked up the tape from the answering machine during a "search" on the Tuesday after the murders. I don't know if the defense ever saw the tapes, they were not mentioned by either them or the prosecution or by anyone in the civil trial for that matter.
I'm not sure, but I think one of the callers was named Eric and that could be the same guy that was in the little group of young guys that together with Ron courted Nicole in the weeks before her death. The last little tidbit is from "Raging Heart".
