I’ve studied the dope angel every way I know to look at it and each angle twists, turns, and eventually shoots off into the far reaches of space – last seen heading toward a black hole.
That is the problem I have with all the BIG conspiracy theories in the O.J. case; they take you around and around but never connect to all of the evidence – just enough to keep you away from a SMALL conspiracy and one man at the center of it.
Yes, I know you can get hit men from New Jersey out of a lot of the evidence. You can get drug dealers in Miami out of a lot of the evidence. Ditto Jamaicans, Columbians, US Military Intelligence, the Clinton Administration and the big time drug dealers associated with Al Cowlings, Faye Resnick, Nicole Simpson, Ron Goldman (and his step-mother and possibly his father). Ditto Keith Zlomsowitch and the Mezzaluna restaurants he operated in Denver and Bentwood. You can get only one man out of all the evidence.
The drug culture in the Unites States can connect anyone with anyone else. The more I looked at those connections in the Bundy murders, the more they looked like red hearings. I found these connections particularly frustrating when I ran into unexpected connections between Fuhrman and the evidence against O.J. that implicated Fuhrman in a SMALL conspiracy, a crime perpetrated with a few key helpers for their own ends. At each of these points I ran into links to big conspiracies that went nowhere – except to direct attention away from Fuhrman, Roberts, Faye, Denise and Shipp. This pattern was consistent. It finally dawned on me that Fuhrman could have selected his second target, Ron Goldman; specifically reinforce the idea that the murders were drug-related. I think they were publicity related.
Fuhrman’s entire police record is strictly anti-narcotics. He HATED drug dealers. He told his second wife that his job was to “annihilate” them. His first supervisor noted that he spent too much time trying to make the big arrest. He told Laura Hart that one class of people he killed on the streets was drug dealers (the other two classes were cop killers and pimps). Whether he did or not tell you how he felt about them.
Fuhrman had to know that O.J. had been under surveillance in Buffalo for suspicion of cocaine trafficking and also under surveillance by a joint task force of federal and state law enforcement agencies when he moved to Brentwood. Local, state and federal agencies were keeping an eye on Keith Zlomsowitch and Al Cowlings, too. That means they were watching O.J. and Nicole and probably knew where Nicole, Faye and Candice Garvey were getting their drugs. The full extent of those operations was never made public, probably because they were conducted illegally.
All of this complicated drug stuff gave an enterprising killer working secretly with these agencies plenty of cover to do his thing without fear of being thoroughly investigated. I tested this idea by trying to locate the records of the LAPD and California Justice Department investigations that where supposed to have been made public. If these agencies were covering up for him there would have to be big gaps in his record. There were big gaps in his record, files that simply disappeared. To some people this indicates a wider conspiracy conducted by people in high places. To me it indicates people frantically trying to cover their asses. If the conspiracy came from the top, the records would not have been purged. They would have been altered. –Jasper
