The media had shown where Scott had gone into the Bay to fish and where the bodies were being looked for. These bodies wash up and are found within a month the search went inland to nearby Lakes of Modesto where Laci was from. The killers just had to watch the news to find where to put the bodies. Another pregnant women went missing and washed up on the other side of the Bay around the same time the year before and just a few months after Laci. Only difference, where Laci was from as well, laci was white the others were minorities.
