I don't believe anyone is saying O.J. just staid behind Kato's room. The testimony doesn't give any other info for Jasper to show on the animation without falling into speculation. I don't believe O.J. was ever behind Kato's room. When dealing with only the testimony, you have to sometimes have the animation do something like stay in one place for some time until the animation is seen by the testimony. The animation is correct as it is the testimony given, not because it is what happened. This is why an animation of what O.J. says happened would be helpful as the clarity of what O.J. will become clear where his explanations don't see clear.
