My sorce for "Mar Vista" for Ferrara was, I belive, the Marc Eliot book

"None of this negates my issuse about the timelines..."
Well, the hell it doesn't! Your original letter to Fetzer was quite exact in (erroneously) citing the times of Kaelin's alibi phonecall, and doing so by quoting (wrongly) telephone records of a previous call that evening.
"The times have to be close to rightsince Kaelin goes outside and encounter Park and Simpson..."
As the saying goes: "Close only counts in horseshoes". In this particular case, "close" is virtually meaningless. As other timeline discussions ofver the yesars has shown -- including the ongoig one today on this group about the animations and OJ's movements along the south path and so forth -- a Difference of two minutes here and there is crucial to whether or not something could have happened.
For comparison, consider some of the testimony about the barking dog and other noises around Bundy. How was the timeline determined? With Nicle, it was the phone records of her talks with her mother. With Goldman, the Mezzaluna timeclock. With the witnesses, it was, variously, watches, vcrs, or whatever tv program happened to be on. Even with all this, the debates over exatly what happened and when at Bundy continues to this day.
What are the sources of the Rockingham timelines? Park's cell phone record, and the testimony of Ferrara and Kaelin. And ehat did Ferrara use as a clock? She asked kaelin? And what did Kaelin use as a clock? Park's cell phone records. Kaelin not only testified consistently and repeatedly that he never looked at a watch or clock, he further testified that he made his time estimates bsed on Park's cell phne records which he heard abut later.
[BTW, in the whole 'universe' of the murder night, two and only two events happen simultaneousy. Park first rings the Rockingham bell at 10:40 and Kaelin reports his 'earthquake' to Ferara at 10:40. But, you say, how could Kaelin have heard Park right the bell? Because righing the bell set off all the phones in Rockingham, which Kaelin could hear]
You wrote: "I relize that these times are not absolute, but approximate..."
And I reply: Friend, if they are only "approximate" then they are WORTHLESS.
You wrote"...I try to be as meticulous as possible ....But you did find that I was wrong about where Rachel Ferrarra live....but considing the length of my letter and the silly remords havng been made by Jim Fetzer and Len Osamic on the radio, I don't think you destroyed my rebuttal as a whole..."
Frankly, I've never hears of Jim Fetzer and Len Osamic. Should I have? I sure as hell destroyed that part of your letter asserting that the timing of Kaelin's alibi phone call proved something or other, by pointing out that that phone call wasn't recorded at all.
As for your hypothesis to explain that 10:30 to 10:45 call to Officer Merrin at the West LA police station:
If I see a building on fire, I call 911. If I see a building on fire and the fire department fighting the fire, I don't bother. The same way with a dead body. If I see the cops around the body, I don't bother.
Now, I can imagine being curious about the body. I can imagine myself, or other people, walking up to a policmean on the scene and asking questions.
What I CAN'T imagine myself or anybody else doing is calling, not 911, but a back number of a polic department an hiding my identity to ask what is going on.
I doubt of Jim Fetzer...or Jow Blow from Kokomo...would find your hypothesis particularly perusuasive, either.
No, Pat. It's obivous to anyone with the ocmmon sense of a concrete block that the person who made that call was either the murderer or, at the least, an accomplice to the murderer, checking to see how close the cops were on his heels. Period.
As for my admitted sarcastic tendencies. Once you have been involved with the OJ Simpson case as long as I have, you will come to understand it.
My advice to you, as a newcomer is: Don't stay involved in this group, or any similar group, if you want to maintain your faith in human intelligene, human nature, law enforcement, the American judicial system, or even in God.
Let me acquaint you with just some of the things I have been offered as explanations for various aspects of the OJ case:
* When i pointed out that the fact that the two gates on the south path -- one of whcih was broken off its hinges and had to be manhandled -- showed that no one had been on the south path that night, one person suggested that OJ had hurdled the gates.
*Various exlanations for Kaelin's thumps have been" *Large animals jumping on the air conditioner. *Oj hitting a flat surface perpendicularly and bouncing off at a 45 degree angle. *Ala Bob August (more on him later) that Oj hopped over the Salinger fence. Never mind that the Late Dick Wagner, using contemporary pictures, made has out of that idea. * Al our good firned Japser, that Ron shipp made the thumps with a golf club, again from over the SAlinger fence.
To explain the absence of blood on the south path from the driveway to the glove, even though there was a blood trail from the street to the front: door.
*Ala Bob August: Oj only bled onto the leaves on the path, not onto the concrete, and the leaves were never checked. *Ala Wagner: OJ notice his bleeding left hand when he got to the south path, put it in his mouth, and kept it there until he came back to the driveway. *Ala Fuhrman: Oj noitced his bleeding left hand, stuck it in his pants pocket, but took it out again when he got back to the driveway. * That it was a magic cut that stopped when Oj went into the south path but starting bleeding again on its own when he got back to the driveway.
To explain the missing evidence:
Ala Wagner: Kaelin helped OJ Ala August: Arnelle helped OJ, and also stopped to launder the blue-black sweatsuit before disposing of it. Ala petrocelli: An unnamed coconpirator helped OJ.
Ohter theories: Ala Jasper: Furhamn did it out of sheer racism. And, in order to commit the ultimate crime and risk the ultimate punishment, he recruited Ron Shipp as an acccomplice. I have seen pictures of Ron Shipp. He was an African American in them, and I am under the impression that that doesn't change.
*Ala Wagner: A super mafia hit team comes in, commits the murders on the front sidewalk, and heaves Ron's dead body into the front yard.
To further undrstand where I am coming from, you need to read a few days of postings on alt.fan.oj-simpson. To get there go Google.com -->groups ---> alt.fan.oj-simpson.
You will find my sarcasm not only forgivable, but positively civil in comparison to what you'll read there.
Now back to the rest of your leter:
you wrote:
"1. 'In truth, the thumps never happend at all' OH? How do YOU know that?.."
I know it because of the arguments and reasoning I have on my web site, In essence, there has been, and there can not be, any explanation of those thumps that does not violate natural law or human nature, or both at the same time.
You disagree with me? Fine!
TELL ME YOUR EXPLANATION. if not, shut up about it.
"...You state it as an absolute factwhen it is really just your belief..."
No, it IS an absolute fact, and NOT just my belief.
"2.'why would such a person, seeing what apparentlyare policemenmoving around dead bodies even bother to call 911, let alone a bcak number? And why impersonate a Channel 4 reporter?'
"Possibble answer: if they were behaving suspiciouls , or they looked sinister...."
Hold it right there. If you can give me a reasonable asxner to the next sentence , I will grant your point: HOW COULDAN AVERAGE CITIZEN, SEEING UNIFORMED POLICEMEN MOVING AROUND A DEAD BODY, POSSIBLE PERCEIVE THE POLICE ACTIONS AS 'SUSPICIOUS' OR 'SINISTER'? I have always been taught that one of the very things police are hired and trained to do is to investigate dead bodies.
Finally, you wrote:
"Oh, I see, Kaelin is calling up the police in West L.A. and imitating a woman's voice between 10:30 and 10:45 pm at the same time he is on the phone with Rachel until 10:50 pm...."
Not quite. Kelin in on the phone to west LA at 10:30, finds out the cops haven't found the bodies yet, AND THEN starts his call to Ferrara. There is simply no reliable way to determine the time of that first call.
Okay?
