When are you going to stop underestimating me? And when are you going to start doing your homework before you post a message like the one I’m responding to here? If I had made an overt attempt to interest the media in MY site and MY work on the case I would have been crushed forevermore the instant a skeptic came to the site and saw how much I had done and how long I’ve been at it. I would be just one more guy trying to push a “theory” as opposed to a guy who has enlisted the aid of the smartest, most well-informed people on the net (you included) to rule out theory in the most critical aspects of the case and present proof. To paraphrases an old saying, theories are lie assholes; everybody has one. That isn’t true, of course, not everyone does have an asshole. Not every theory is equal to another. And not every intellectual construct (that’s con-struck, a noun with the accent on the first syllable) is a theory.
I tired every way I could think of long before the 10th anniversary rolled around to get the cooperation of the group without articulating my intention. When you posted your message suggesting the same thing I thought we had a chance. I thought that you would pull back a little on blasting everyone who disagreed with you. I laid off of Fuhrman. You did not lay off of Kato. Someone else insisted on a grand conspiracy that both of us rejected, and nobody could agree on a timeline.
All of this was fine when we were trying to pool our resources and bounce ideas off of each other. It demonstrated that we were independent researchers and thinkers – which would lend credulity to anything we could all agree on. We could not agree on anything “newsworthy.” Every time I tried to build a consensus on anything new to the media I got shot down in fames. I couldn’t even suggest that anyone else send a Smartfellows link to the media and no one I know of did. I started getting new people who did not insist on rejecting anything – but the board went down and I had a hell of a time getting it back up. In the weeks preceding the 12th anniversary of the murders there were few postings and no interest expressed in taking to the media any work that we did cooperatively.
Meanwhile, I was tying to finish Killing the Goose… and The Smoking Gun 3 before circumstances beyond my control made it impossible to finish them. I had pressing personal affairs to attend to and I had to take care of all the technical crap (you know about that) myself without the financial resources to do some of the most basic things. The effort you see now is what I am just now in a position to attempt – and I believe it can be done. The 10 anniversaries of the trial and the verdict are still a long way off.
Don’t know why you can’t copy and paste. I can and I’ve done it on other computers. I’m writing this now in WORD. What you see is a cut and paste. Al computer operating systems are a little different. All browsers are a little different. Sorry, but I can’t do anything here to help you cut and paste (have you tied: highlight, CTR- X to cut and CTR-V to pate?). Maybe someone else can offer a suggestion. As a last resort you can print the message you want to respond to. Addressing the person you are responding to by name should clear up any other confusion.
As for Pat’s letter…
I think it’s ideal because it puts so much in one place, it is arranged in a logical order and gives everyone a chance to see it. You can’t make plans around something that doesn’t exist. – Jasper
