Faye WAS the only one who appeared to be afraid before the murders but Nicole was not the one who put her in the detox center. Her boyfriend Christian Reichardt did that. He tries to get the record straight in Killing Time. But looking at her behavior around the time she checked into the hospital, it appears to me that SOMEONE would have gotten her in a clinic. It also appears to me that she behaved the way she did to make sure that someone did put her away. As a last resort I think she would have checked herself in.
But another interesting thing is that Faye and Denise seemed to be afraid for their lives AFTER the murders when O.J. was in jail. I think they acted quickly to assure the killer that they were not weak links that had to be eliminated – and to cash in as quickly as possible. –Jasper
