I was a telephone operator for twelve years. The very idea that these tapes are of telephone calls is so against the law I am shocked that they have actually distributed copies of the calls to the media. The legality of these calls have to come from the Patriot Act as it was highly illegal in CA before 9/11. To answer all the pundits about the calls as to the lies Scott kept telling Amber, he had to stick to his going out to Europe lie to Amber because he didn't know she knew anything about his wife gone missing or that he had a wife. He told her before Laci went missing that he was going to Europe. To speak about being anywhere else shows his guilt, to go on with the lie shows he is innocent. He'd have told her the entire truth about being married and his wife gone missing had he been guilty. I know this may seem to not make sense, but if you think about it. If he was guilty he wouldn't have continued with the pretense of being single as Amber could always come forward and say that he made these calls. He clearly didn't know his calls could be wiretapped. He believed Laci was coming back so he was simply keeping Amber happy while he waited for her to return. These tapes prove he believed Laci was coming back and that he had nothing to do with the missing wife. These calls show a lack of guilty knowledge.
