They were sitting in OJ's very large bedroom closet (Wagner's work show that the closet was as big as all the rest of the bedroom!) way in the back of dozens of Reebok's OJ wore.
How did they get there?
The Brown sisters were into Burno-Maglis (This detail is in Lange and Vannatter's book). One of the sisters bought the shoes for OJ as a kind of "peace offering" at sometime or another. Though OJ didn't like them, he felt obliged to wear them at least once, which he did. After that, he stored them away AND FORGOT THAT HE OWNED THEM.
Then Kaelin, looking for something to fram OJ with, found these really unique shoes.
At leat, that's my explanation.
