If Kato orchestrated the noise, why do you think he failed to make damn sure that she heard a noise? Racial said that Kato sounded frightened by the noise even though he made his remark about calling the cops in a joking way. Wouldn’t it have been easier for him to sell his story IF that was his intention by just pounding on the wall himself?
I went through this exercise when Kato was my prime suspect. The answers I got didn’t conform to a man who had carefully thought out how to frame O.J. and use Rachel as an alibi. There was also the matter of his shoes, his clothes and the murder weapon. If Kato didn’t plant them where they would be incriminating to O.J. and the police showed up before he had a chance to get rid of them (he talked to Rachel for two hours) wouldn’t they incriminate him? I could see why he wouldn’t plant the clothes (fear of leaving trace evidence), but why keep the shoes and knife for later disposal? And why plant the glove instead of the knife?
By they way, has anyone stopped to consider why there were no bloody fingerprints on the glove, let alone bugs and debris? If O.J. was supposed to have dropped both gloves, how did the Rockingham glove go from Bundy to Rockingham without a fingerprint in the blood on the glove? Doesn’t that sound to you like someone gave that moist, sticky glove special handling from the outset and kept it in an airtight container until moments before it was found? If you can think of a more likely scenario I’d love to hear it. –Jasper
