Jasper, I was playing "what if" with John. While going thru the premise that Kato did in fact orchestrate the conversation with Rachel, feeding her the time, feeding her the "noise", etc.,. And while doing that for the first time since 94, it hit me that Kato might have MEANT for Rachel to call the cops and the cops arrive before OJ left for the airport.
That seemed to go out the window when John reminded me that the glove was still wet and did not have any bugs on it.
However, it is still an interesting proposition to think about. ...if he were involved in ANY way with the murder. (if he is the actual killer or if he were in place to set up things at the Rockingham house).
I still think it possible that Kato did too good a job all his life "playing the screwup" and the "joker" that when he DID want Rachel to call the cops--she took it as a joke.
Is it possible that that first trip to the walkway while being watched by Parks and Kato didn't go very far---was to place the glove (in a plastic bag) along that pathway right there at the gate. And then later he moved it back to the area behind his AC. I say plastic bag but it could have been any kind of container that kept it clear and wet.
Perhaps he had a couple of plans for that glove depending on how things shook out.
We need to 'think out of the box" and look at the possibilities.
For John's theory ---the bloody clothes and glove and weapon ---had to be somewhere---and Kato wouldn't want it ON him or in his room.
Or perhaps it is the case that Kato just didn't think to actually have Rachel call the police.
To toss things around and explore the possibilities doesn't discount what other things we know.
It is a way to look at things differently to come up with other ideas that are 'out of the box".
Look how long of looking at the same info for years before I thought that Kato might have been serious about having Rachel call the cops.
If Kato was feeding her a story--the more 'points" to that story that Rachel could confirm --the better.
