Again, from my last post, Fuhrman’s story doesn’t make sense.
What I suggested is, of course speculation, but it is not speculation based on more speculation. It’s based on the testimony of Arnelle, Gigi all four detectives, the lay of the land and each detective’s place in a line of travel toward the Bungalows where they could have reasonably expected someone to be. The only thing Fuhrman says about the line of travel going to the Bungalows is that he was in the rear. Lange and Vannatter say that he was between them and Vannatter was in the rear.
(Murder in Brentwood page 29). “The sergeant [from Westec] informed me that a live-in maid should be there all the time, which I relayed to the other detectives.”
Why do I believe that the detectives were on their way the maid’s room when Fuhrman stopped them? And why do I think that the detectives got together to cover that up?

Vannatter: I immediately asked her [Arnelle]-- knowing that there was supposed to be a maid there, I asked her, "where is the maid's quarters? Isn't there supposed to be a maid here?" And she took me through the back of the house into the kitchen to an area off the utility room that would be on the south side of the kitchen.

Q. Now, when Ms. Simpson went into the main house to try to find Mr. Simpson, did you check to see if the maid was safe, or the housekeeper was safe?

Gigi didn’t stay in the maid’s room. She stayed in the bungalow next to Arnelle’s. That’s where the testimony of Vannatter and Lange suggests they were headed. That’s why I think the Westec sergeant told the detectives to look in the last two bungalows. –Jasper
