Jasper, They could be working on OLD info about where the maid's room was. Wasn't Arnelle in the room that used to be used by the maid?
Wasn't there a change in maids that spring? Hadn't Ron Shipp been barred from the Rockingham property about that length of time?
When did ARnelle move in and start using that room?
Seems to me that Westec and others (Shipp, Fuhrman and others who may or may not have been hired at times for security for OJ's parties) had a lot of info on that house that they may not have on all their clients.
The new maid was young and foreign and had close ties with her family. Perhaps she was not comfortable having the maid's room inside? That was perhaps a change from the old maid who had been there for years.
I would not be surprised at the cops looking into each room as they passed by--perhaps out of sheer curiosity--but I am not sure just how much they could see on a dark night into the room
